Where he started.
He had lost and regained the same weight more times than he could count. His own words when he signed: sceptical, because everything he tried ended in a rebound.
What we changed.
Four strength sessions a week, built around his marathon training. Runs at 5am before work. Protein up to around 170g a day. Then, instead of white-knuckling a low intake forever, we raised his calories step by step to 2,000 a day. A proper reverse diet, with an exit plan.
What happened.
Around 12kg down. He held his new weight while eating 2,000 calories a day, on a proper reverse diet with an exit plan. He was running 5km at 5am. He said it was the first time his body had kept its shape.
